Farhad Delaram’s 15-minute work is participating in the short film category of the 25th edition of the Moroccan event.

‘Tattoo’ is about a young woman who wants to renew her driver’s license, but she is sent to the traffic police center because of a scar on her wrist and a tattoo on her hand.

The short film experienced its first international screening at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival in Germany, where it won Crystal Bear for the Best Short Film.

‘Tattoo’ has also competed at a number of global film events and grabbed some awards, including the Best Actress award (Behdokht Valian) of the 37th Sulmona International Film Festival in Italy as well as the best short film award at the 8th Persian Film Festival in the Australian city of Sydney.

Delaram, the director of the flick, has so far made six short films and documentaries. His short flick ‘Away from Home’ was screened at the House of Cinema Celebration in Iran.

The Rabat International Author Film Festival is dedicated to the Author cinema. It is meant for films that have a message to humanity in all of its forms.

The 25th online edition of the FICAR is taking place on October 23-31.
